2021 - The year of transformation. Life forces us to bethink of what is essential. Back to start. Back to the core principles of trueness.
Perkussiv is turning 11 years on February 22nd which marks another milestone in the label's release biography: Pylon - Dataism EP. This title reflects the Zeitgeist of our age: Absolute insanity of data-dependency. Influenza-influenced Influencers selling their inner wackiness, loneliness and heavy personal neurosis as lifestyle and the 'shit to go after'. Big Data, Google, Amazon and Big Tech selling stuff "as seen in your dreams".
Pylon aka Łukasz is part of the Perkussiv family since the very beginning in 2010. He was and is still loyal to the vibe and vision to what Perkussiv tries to deliver: True-deep hearted Techno-DnB. Fuck the fame. Fuck the mainstream. Also for Perkussiv, 2021 is a reminder and recalibration to stick to this vision statement. It is about the love and the idea.

With 'Orkan' as the first tune, Pylon showcases his brilliant talent to pinpoint a heavy techno-vibe in a Drum and Bass context, without any compromise. Orkan perfectly demonstrated Łukasz' relentless idea of Techno-DnB.
On the B-Side Pylon teamed up with Stonerice and produced an equally hard-line Techno-DnB tasty chick: Hypnotising vocal support and somewhat of a 'classic' reversed techno-lead-stab. No big discussions, straight to the point. Move your ass.
We all know Section 63's production skills and his brutal ability to remix tunes. On the C-side he took the basic ideas of 'Into Your Mind' and created a perfect remix with the typical 'UK'-pounding, fluffy and fast beats, crazy bass-work, wrapped in the same hypnotising vibe as the original mix by Pylon and Stonerice.
On the D-Side, you can listen to one of the rare collaborations of Amex and Pylon: Mass Market. Typical Amex' trademark pads with a special tonality, yet focussing on the dance-floor - as usual.
The most distinctive theme of this tune are Pylon's trademark reverse lead-stabs which are morphing to a Amex' influenced melodic pad.
As the last tune of this EP we also welcome Roominsky. He teamed up with Łukasz in 'Shkadov Thruster'. We can notice a more classic beat with a metallic snare, but yet fast-forwarding. Auror-heavy bleeps and leads are pretty much dominating this great work of pure Techno-DnB.

Perkussiv truly appreciates Pylon's contribution over the years, from the bottom of the heart. He is still one of the rare Techno-DnB legends we all love. Thank you!
